Young Artist Program

Continuing Education, Career, Portfolio Preparation and Student Exhibition

In the tradition he has established over the years, L. Robert Stanfield provides a professional, artist’s studio in which young people explore a broad spectrum of mediums and artistic disciplines. Using a nurturing, non-critical teaching style, L. Robert challenges students to explore their unlimited potential as creative artists through hands-on study of two and three-dimensional design. Their imaginations are expanded while they learn the principles and elements of design and technique using color and shape. Students are encouraged to pursue a wide variety of artistic experiences and, as they continue their studies, may specialize in areas that particularly inspire them. Classes are small and instruction is individually focused.

Portfolio of Works

Students will compile a representation of their semester’s work in a professional manner. This portfolio will represent their growth as an artist and aid in application for college, scholarships, grants or employment.

College and Career

By giving the young artist a survey of studio experience they may better choose their special interest. Learning and mastering areas they wish to pursue opens their world of continuing education and sparks possible career options.
